About Us

SOLID COMBO LABS® is a factory and creative studio building tools and promoting culture from Barcelona. We formulate and produce solid paint markers in our own lab: SOLIDOS and COMBOS.

What is a solid paint marker?

Paint in stick form. No shaking, no priming the tip. Uncap it and paint. It works on almost any surface: glass, cardboard, metal, over dust, even underwater. A normal stroke dries in 4 to 7 minutes depending on the conditions, a thick layer in around 10.

From the lab: our story

2020 · SOLID COMBO LABS is born

During lockdown, SOLID COMBO LABS was born. The LABS was there from day one: we knew where we wanted to take it. We built our own machine, with interchangeable heads for faster, more precise cuts, and changed the way we cut and the whole process. With a clear goal: to be independent in our production and have total freedom to create.

2021 · The lab

We started building our own lab. With a lot of patience and the bare minimum, drills and handmade gadgets, we developed our own paint. It turned into years of development and formulation.

2023 · SOLIDOS

After four years of research and development we launched SOLIDOS: highly pigmented, permanent, produced in our own factory in Barcelona. A solid paint marker that works on glass, cardboard, metal, over dust and even underwater. It performs best on smooth surfaces with good contrast between colour and background.

2024 · Worldwide

SOLIDOS started travelling. Strong distribution across Europe, and small shops as far away as Japan, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and the US. The tool left Barcelona and went into other hands, other walls, other cities.

2025 · New workshop, new machines

We moved into a new space and built our own machinery. A process developed from zero and always changing, to produce faster and with better quality. More capacity, the same control over every marker.

2025 · COMBOS

COMBOS are multicolour solid paint markers. The paint is poured into moulds shaped for each combo, then everything is done by hand: picking colours, assembling, packing. Speed and rotation of the stroke decide which colour comes out, and with practice you control it. COMBOS launched on Kickstarter, backed mostly by the people who use the tool, and by some graffiti shops.

2026 · Out into the world

Collaborations in fashion, music and with other brands. Combos with their own name, colours and label. Events with the scene, from drink&draw sessions to launches outside Spain. The tool keeps travelling.
